Speakers for the National Rejoin March taking place on Saturday 23rd September in London have been announced – and they do not disappoint.

Tens of thousands of people are expected to descend on the capital this month to campaign for a re-think on the decision to exit the European Union.

The government announced that the UK will rejoin the EU’s flagship Horizon programme this week after Britain was frozen out of the £85 billion science research programme following post-Brexit disputes.

Some have interpreted the move as the first step back towards a fully reintegrated United Kingdom with the EU community, although a number of significant hurdles stand in the way before that is achieved.

We’ll be at the @MarchForRejoin in the tens of thousands to send the message:

Rejoining Horizon Europe marks a huge step forward for UK-EU relations, and we welcome it.

But it’s onwards and upwards from here! We need to rejoin other aspects of the EU such as Erasmus, and the Single Market to finally reverse the damage done by Brexit 🇬🇧🇪🇺 pic.twitter.com/6yJsvFeAnH

A protest is to be held in Parliament Square on 23rd September 2023, with tens of thousands of people expected to show up.

Here’s who will be speaking:

  • AC Grayling
  • Ceira Casey
  • Femi Oluwole
  • Gina Miller
  • Guy Verhofstadt
  • Lisa Burton
  • Liz Webster
  • Madeleina Kay
  • Mike Galsworthy
