Andy Burnham took aim at Liz Truss with a jibe at the former PM during his Labour Party conference speech.
Near the start of his keynote speech at the conference in Liverpool, Burnham acknowledged that he was just 10 weeks into his premiership as prime minister.
However, he added that this was not something all of his “recent predecessors” have been able to say.

This was a clear reference to Truss, who infamously managed less than 50 days into her time in Number 10 thanks to a disastrous mini-budget she concocted alongside Kwasi Kwarteng.
This isn’t the only time Truss has been the subject of mockery at Labour’s conference.
On Monday, chancellor John Healey said Nigel Farage was just “Liz Truss with a bitcoin account.”
Incredibly, Truss is still defending her fiscal policy, recently telling LBC’s Nick Ferrari that she is “proud” of what she did.
