With war looming on several fronts you can forgive President Trump for having a lot on his mind, but this is a comical balls-up none the less.

While making his way through the crowd at the White House Easter egg roll, Trump was asked by a young child if he would sign his hat.

He grabs a pen, quickly signs the hat and then throws it deep into the crowd amongst screams of “nooo!” from people standing around.#

Given the geopolitical climate one would think Trump would be in a sombre mood this weekend, not to mention his dwindling approval ratings and that he just edged one step closer to using nuclear weapons a mere 100 days into his presidency.

But the Republican seemed on fine form, despite another clear crowd problem.

Journalism in Britain is under threat. The government is becoming increasingly authoritarian and our media is run by a handful of billionaires, most of whom reside overseas and all of them have strong political allegiances and financial motivations.

Our mission is to hold the powerful to account. It is vital that free media is allowed to exist to expose hypocrisy, corruption, wrongdoing and abuse of power. But we can't do it without you.
