Cargo Plane Lands On Road After Overshooting the Runway

A cargo plane has landed on the road after overshooting the runway at Bergamo Airport in Italy.

The nose of the Boeing 737-400 smashed through a fence and motorway barriers after losing control on landing.

The flight, which had come from Paris, lost control while landing at Orio Al Serio airport at around 4am this morning.

Pictures have emerged on social media of the crash, with the plane coming within inches of oncoming traffic.

A raft of Ryanair flights have been cancelled this morning as the authorities deal with the incident.
