Stunning photos show millions of beautiful daffodils in full bloom

Stunning photos show millions of beautiful daffodils in full bloom as the UK enjoys a sunny spell at the beginning of spring.

Grampian Growers in Montrose grow around six million daffodils and those stems are now being prepared to be lifted in June after being planted two-and-a-half years ago.

The yellow flowers cover an area of 1,000 acres and managing director Mark Clarke, 52, said the plants will soon be picked and sold.

He said: “Of the six million stems we grow, around half will be exported to the US. The other 50 per cent will be split between mainland Europe, Scandinavia.

“We also sell a lot to supermarkets in the UK.”

The flowers will be picked in June before exporting takes place in July, August and September.
