Bed and mattress retailer Happy Beds launches new website with an interactive Build Your Own Bed tool to take its growth to “the next level”.

In an attempt to grow its business further, Happy Beds has launched its new website with high hopes of becoming one of the UK’s leading bed brands.

The online retailer, which was launched in 2010, competes with others recognised in the industry, such as Bensons for Beds and Dreams, and currently has revenue of £3m+ with no outside investment.

Cardiff-based developer Elevate Web, who has previously worked with Peacocks, Go Outdoors and Jane Norman, has designed the new site and Wales’ largest digital marketing agency, Liberty, has helped to build it.

The new site offers innovative eCommerce features, including a bespoke bed builder. This tool allows users to create their own customised divan bed. Customers can modify the size and colour of the bed, as well as opt for various headboard styles and storage options, and as shoppers build their dream bed, the accompanying image adjusts to match their choices.

Product pages are equipped with mattress tension adjusters and users are able to see how the tension of individual mattresses is affected by inputting their weight. The site will then display how a mattress will feel for them through a Firmness Rating Scale.

The Manchester-based retailer has also launched a content marketing and customer service hub, The Comfort Zone. This is where Sleep Specialist Joy Richards provides insight and advice to help users sleep better.

The Founder of Happy Beds, Rex, is confident that the new site, launched on the 23rd of June, will take the brand to “the next level”.

“We wanted to create an ‘in-store’ experience online. Buying a bed is such a personal, important purchase that it’s important to give customers as much information as possible.

The Bed Builder and the Mattress Tension guides give shoppers a more interactive experience than they could get on any other eCommerce store, which is really exciting. It’s often said that beds and mattresses must be tested in person before being bought, but I think the levels of detail on our new site disproves that.

I’m so proud of the progress that our team has made in such a short space of time. We’re ambitious and we want to take the brand to the next level, and this new website will help us do just that.”
