Night running was put back on the agenda last week as fitness fanatics led by extreme ultra athlete Brett Horton took to the streets of London to participate in the UK’s first street fitness community.

BBC 1Xtra DJ Melody Kane joined runners on a party rickshaw decked out with full DJ kit as the participants hit three mini bootcamps staged in iconic locations.

Pull up ropes strapped to the Millennium Bridge, circuits outside the Tate Modern and a full shake-out routine in the iconic Southbank skate park were among the challenges that had to be traversed.

The event was organised to promote HOKA ONE ONE’s new Fly at Night Collection which is geared to those who run before dawn and after dusk.

The night-time-themed Cavu and Mach models offer the lightest cushion and were inspired by the aviation industry, offering a sleek and lightweight touch.

Mach Fly at Night trainers feature black reflective logos, a reflective heel tab on the lightweight upper, and a reflective midsole.

The Cavu Fly at Night offers a versatile running shoe with a bold, black as night look.

The full range can be purchased at Sportsshoes.com, and for more information on Bert’s extreme urban workout, see: Chaosst.com/bretthortonpersonaltrainer/.
