Krug Champagne Team Up With Chef Tom Sellers for Krug & Chips Pop-Up

By Jonathan Hatchman, Food Editor, @TLE_Food

As if the traditionally British cheap Friday night treat hadn’t already become expensive enough, over the past few years: a brand new pop-up Chip Shop is set to open at London’s Covent Garden in the Summer, for four nights only.

For Krug & Chips, the high-end Champagne company has teamed up with Michelin starred chef Tom Sellers, in order for the chef to provide his own take on Fish & Chips. However, instead of crafting a greasy slab of Cod and Chips with some tinned Mushy Peas and a Pickled Egg or two, Sellers’ menu will feature three dishes for customers to chose from. Either Potato Ravioli with Fish and Tartar Sauce, Monkfish cheek Curry with matchstick Fries, or Lobster claw wrapped in Potato Spaghetti will be available across the four nights

The special menu will be available with one of the three dishes washed down with a glass of Krug Grande Cuvée, all for the reasonable sum of £35. And what’s more, the pop-up will also feature some specially designed Chip Shop themed dining pods for guests to be able to use in order to enjoy their meals.

Krug & Chips will be open from July 8-12 and can be found at the East Piazza, Covent Garden, London. Tickets go on sale on June 9th and will be available from krug.com/krugandchips.
