Crosstown’s limited edition Tim Tam and Lamnut doughnuts return for ANZAC Day

If you’ve ever been lucky enough to try a Tim Tam, you’ll know that it’s pretty much impossible to eat just one.

The Australian chocolate biscuit has often been compared to a Penguin, and comes in a variety of flavours Down Under. Luckily for Brits, Crosstown have decided to bring back their much-loved Antipodean classics: The Tim Tam and Lamington doughnuts in time for ANZAC Day on April 25. ANZAC Day is the national day of remembrance for Australia and New Zealand, which recognises, celebrates, and commemorates those who served their country.

First up is the Tim Tam – which features Crosstown’s cocoa sourdough, filled with a chocolate custard made from Tim Tams shipped straight from Aussie shores. The sweet treat is topped with a Tim Tam milk chocolate ganache and chopped Tim Tam pieces. However, if you’ve got a sweet tooth but don’t consider yourself a major chocoholic, then perhaps The Lamnut is more your thing? The beloved lamington doughnut (AKA the Lamnut) reimagines a classic lamington in Crosstown doughnut form. It features Crosstown cake dough with a layer of homemade raspberry jam through the middle, dipped in dark chocolate and rolled in desiccated coconut.

“Antipodean culture is in Crosstown’s DNA. We’ve shipped in a mountain of ingredients for these fan-favourite doughnuts, ready to give our fellow Aussies and Kiwis a taste of home during the ANZAC Day commemorations,” says Adam Wills, Co-founder of Crosstown.

“But, with limited supplies, people should place a pre-order early to secure their delivery!”

Both flavours have a history of selling out in record time, so don’t hang around to avoid missing out.

The Anzac Day flavours will be available exclusively across Crosstown’s London and Cambridge stores from April 19th-25th.

Individual doughnuts are priced at £4.50, with boxes of six or 12 priced at £22 and £38, respectively. Customers in the rest of England, Wales and Lowland Scotland will also be able to order a mixed six or 12 pack of Lamington and classic Dark Chocolate Truffle doughnuts (£27.50/£48). Pre-orders for collection and delivery are available now from Crosstown’s website.
