A suspected drink driver and two passengers had a narrow escape when their car crashed and flipped into a TREE.
Police say the motorist lost control and hit a telegraph pole before the car landed vertically in branches.
The freak crash happened in the early hours of Sunday (16/12) on the B4386 at Cruckton, Shrewsbury, Shrops.
No one was seriously hurt in the crash and the driver was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
Chief Superintendent Kevin Purcell, of West Mercia Police, tweeted a picture of the car along with a warning to motorists.
He said: “Drink & Drive – don’t heed the warnings? A single vehicle RTC In Shropshire in early hrs, driver arrested positive roadside breath sample… lucky to be alive….”
