Muse of London has a pulse which you feel the minute you walk in the door, with funky decor – (dark walls and contrasting yellow) and a relaxed feel (help yourself to anything you would like to drink). I instantly felt at home.
On arrival I was given a warm greeting and within seconds Jason the Creative Director came over to introduce himself.
Jason who has an impressive celebrity client list and is a well known session stylist for glossy shoots was charismatic yet down to earth and I was super excited about him getting his hands on my tresses !
I was booked in for a cut and colour and was impressed by the consultation from Jason, instead of the usual cajoling into trying a complete overhaul Jason listened to my “hairstory” and offered me excellent advice which involved a natural twist on the colour and just modernising the cut rather than a complete overhaul.
Whilst having my colour done I sipped my complimentary wine and read one of the many magazines on offer but couldn’t help just observing the vibe – everywhere I looked there were stylish clientele with stunning hair and all of the stylists were clearly so passionate about interpreting their clients brief and personal style.
Jason was so lovely and it felt like I was spending an afternoon catching up with my BF whilst also getting my hair done! Result!
The colour was a a beautiful shade of blonde that I’ve never before achieved and the cut and style actually managed to complement my half straight and half curly hair so it worked with the natural texture – he taught me lots of tips about how to style it and introduced me to a life changing product which I shall now be buying in bulk!
Jason even advised me on different colouring techniques that would complement me if I get bored with the blonde after the summer.
Muse of London have a ‘bedding in’ policy of 7 days to let people get used to their new style and if any client is not happy within that time Jason and his team will re-do the work!
By the end of the afternoon I felt so relaxed and pampered I didn’t want to leave ! This was the best hair and the best Saturday afternoon I’ve had in a long time!
Thank you to Jason and all at Muse of London – I will most certainly be returning… But definitely not within 7 days 🙂
