Watch: This man cave has just been crowned Games Room of the Year 2017

A games room consisting of a football themed bar in a converted loft has been crowned as the winning entry for Games Room of the Year 2017.

The national competition drew hundreds of entries from all over the UK, with Graeme Strachan, of Brechin, Angus, taking the coveted prize.

The games room is an immaculately finished Aberdeen FC tribute that includes a working bar with beer pumps, Dons memorabilia adorning the walls and red seating in keeping with the theme.

Two televisions and a sound system makes it the perfect venue for watching football, with a dartboard also incorporated for half time entertainment.

To create his games room, Graeme called in a few favours from friends and was able to use a combination of different trades to get it all put together.

Utilising the voluntary services of a joiner, a plumber, an electrician and a painter over the course of several weekends, Graeme managed to create his games room with a budget of just £2,000 thanks to his friends’ benevolent labour.
