Liz Truss attended a dinner at Mar-a-Lago on the same night that Donald Trump’s Republicans were battered in the midterm elections.
The UK’s shortest-serving prime minister in history shared a picture on social media of her at an event at Trump’s Palm Beach resort.
Truss was pictured at a table alongside fellow Trump fans, at what appeared to be an event to promote right-wing Polish MEP Dominik Tarczyński’s book.

Tagging Mar-a-Lago as her location, Truss wrote in a post: “Be Like Poland! Backing Dominik Tarczyński and his fellow freedom fighters!”
Tarczyński, who was banned from entering the UK this year to speak at a Tommy Robinson rally, was also at the table.
Whilst Truss and her gang of right-wing nutters were enjoying the hospitality of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago, the US president was taking a political beating as the Republicans lost control of both the House and the Senate.
The GOP suffered historic defeats in traditionally deep-red states such as Texas, South Carolina and Kansas.
Since being booted out of office after just 49 days in 2022 and losing her seat at the 2024 general election, Truss has wasted no time in aligning herself with the MAGA right in America.
The disgraced former Tory leader has spoken at CPAC and started spouting Trump-esque conspiracy theories claiming that the Bank of England and the ‘deep state’ were responsible for the financial crash after her mini-budget.
This is something Truss has recently tried to argue in her much-derided new book, Bank Job.
