London is so cold that Regents Canal has frozen solid

The Beast from the East has brought such chilly weather that London’s busiest canal has FROZEN.

Famous Regents Canal was so iced over that snow had begun to settle on the waterway – leaving it looking like tarmac.

The nine-mile-long north London waterway was coated in ice and snow thanks to the big freeze – and people have even begun speculating whether it is possible to ice-skate on it.
