Boy, 15, repeatedly stabbed in south London

A 15-year-old boy was repeatedly stabbed in the latest knife horror in London.

Police say a 16-year-old lad has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after the victim was stabbed “above the heart” on Saturday night.

Stunned eyewitnesses described seeing the victim lying in the street with a series of wounds.

One resident in Brixton, south London, said he saw the boy being lifted into an ambulance.

He said: “The boy must have been only 15, he had been stabbed just above the heart, then they took him in the ambulance.”

Police arrested a teen on suspicion of attempted murder – with the victim in hospital in a “stable” condition.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “Police were called by paramedics at 7.21pm on Saturday to the junction of New Park Road and Brixton Hill following reports of a stabbing.

“A 15-year-old male had suffered knife wounds.

“The injured male was taken by paramedics to a south London hospital. His condition is not life-threatening.”

He added: “Police have arrested a 16-year-old male on suspicion of attempted murder.

“He remains in custody at this time. Enquiries continue. ”

Jaden Moodie, 14, was stabbed to death after being knocked off a moped in Leyton, east London, earlier this month.

Last year 24 teenagers were killed in the capital, 18 of them knifed to death.
