The Magic Roundabout Pop-Up To Takeover Old Street Roundabout This Summer

By Jonathan Hatchman, Food Editor, @TLE_Food

Arriving just in time for the summer, Burger Bear founder Tom Reaney is set to take over the central roof of Old Street’s monolithic roundabout, bringing a brand new pop-up venue The Magic Roundabout to the East-End. Opening off the back of a Kickstarter campaign set up last year, which managed to raise a huge £36000, The Magic Roundabout is set to open next weekend and will feature a brand new street food market and bar.

Set to open from 7am-11pm, the 500-capacity space will feature pop-ups that include food from Burger Bear who will be bringing their complete menu along with them, Prawnography which will offer both lunchtime and evening food options, including their signature 12-inch Giant Black Sea Tiger Prawns, and Relax which will be headed up by the team from Macintyre Coffee, serving specialty coffee roasted by Modern Standard from 7am, while a selection of beers, wines and cocktails will be available later in the day, alongside some delicious bar snacks.

The Magic Roundabout is set to open on June 12th and entry is free of charge.
