Scale the Shard for a free cocktail masterclass this week

Award-winning US bartender Katie Henshaw will be running a FREE cocktail masterclass and Italian aperitivo takeover this week 32 floors up the Shard.

This Wednesday afternoon will see Henshaw join ITALICUS brand ambassador Luca Missaglia from 3pm in Oblix for a masterclass followed by a one-night-only special takeover from the Italian low ABV spirit brand.

Italian-born Luca Missaglia worked and managed some of London’s best cocktail bars before joining ITALICUS, and on 8th May he will be joined by Renshaw of Chicago’s popular DrumBAR who fought off strong competition to win a prestigious Aperitivo Challenge in the US in 2018.

She will be mixing up her award-winning serve alongside the Spritz and seasonal cocktails. Katie will host a masterclass at 3pm, which will be followed by a Menu Takeover from 6pm until midnight.  Guests dining during the evening will also be able to have their dishes paired with Katie’s drinks for the ultimate aperitivo experience.

ITALICUS Rosolio di Bergamotto was created by the authority in Italian spirits, Giuseppe Gallo to bring back the forgotten Rosolio category. With key notes of Calabrian bergamot, it is made using the finest Italian ingredients, to bring a sip of Italy in every glass.

The striking bottle design embodies the history and heritage of Italy’s distinctive regions, whilst telling the story of Rosolio’s time-honoured traditional drinking occasion; the aperitivo.

The award-winning Oblix was the first restaurant to open in The Shard in Spring 2013 and continues to set sky-high standards. Serving sophisticated, seasonal dishes along with views from the tallest building in Western Europe, it is another must-visit destination from the globally established Azumi Ltd, created and founded by innovative chef-restaurateur Rainer Becker and partner Arjun Waney, with restaurants including Zuma and Roka.
