Police have made an arrest after a video was posted online calling for Muslim schoolgirls to be sterilised.

The video follows pupils from Central Foundation Girls’ School in Bow, some of whom are wearing hijabs.

The man gave racist commentary including that Muslims will “breed like rats”, and called the schoolgirls “black c*nts”.

In the clip, which is just over two minutes long, the man also made reference to Nazi doctor Josef Mengele and said the girls should be sterilised.

Mengele was known as the “Angel of Death” and performed human experiments on Jews at Auschwitz.

Police say the camera-man has been arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence and is currently at a police station in east London.

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “A man in his 60s has been arrested by police on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence.

“The arrest was made in connection with an incident which is believed to have taken place in Tower Hamlets.

“A video was posted online which showed schoolgirls some of whom were wearing hijab head coverings.

“A male voice on the clip was heard providing abusive and offensive commentary.

“The schoolgirls were unaware of the commentary and at this stage no reports have been made to police.

“The man arrested was taken to an east London police station where he currently remains in custody. Enquiries continue.”
