Mini used in ram raid of Selfridges of London

Selfridges of London is boarded up after a Mini was used in attempted ‘ram raid’ robbery of the London store today.

The ram-raiders crashed through the shop front before making a getaway with designer handbags.

Security guards attempting to stop the robbery were driven towards and threatened with a knife on Tuesday morning.

The four suspects fled in another getaway car – a white VW Golf

A spokesperson for Selfridges confirmed: “Nobody was injured and the police are investigating. The store is continuing to trade as normal.”
