Jeremy Hunt is odds-on to lose his job as Secretary of State for Health.
The embattled minister is overseeing one of the worse crises in NHS history this January, with 55,000 operations cancelled.
Dr Taj Hasan, President of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, was one of many doctors to recently speak out about the scale of the crisis, warning that “we are seeing conditions people have not seen in their working lives.”
Dr Nick Scriven, President of the Society of Acute Medicine, agreed that the position is “as bad as he has ever known”, with Tracey Bullock, Chief Exec at Mid-Cheshire Hospitals, saying these are the worse conditions she has seen in her 34 years in work.
Phillip Lee, MP for Bracknell and Under-Secretary of State for Justice, is 9/4 to get the nod when Theresa May reshuffles cabinet.
Hunt isn’t the only minster close to the exit door according to Betway, with Boris Johnson as short as evens to lose his job as Foreign Secretary.
Home Secretary Amber Rudd could also be replaced at odds of just 2/1, with the bookmaker offering 4/11 she retains her portfolio.
At longer odds, and seemingly in the clear, comes Brexit Sec David Davis who is 2/7 to keep his job and Chancellor Philip Hammond is nailed on to remain in charge of the budget at 1/6.
