More than half of the plastic the British government claims is being recycled is actually being sent overseas, Greenpeace revealed.
The Bradford-based grocer said customers will instead be able to purchase reusable paper bags from its supermarkets.
“So, today, if we do not react in a safe and timely way… the consequences will be detrimental.”
