Man, 47, stabbed to death in north west London suburb – 116th murder in capital this year

A 47-year-old man has been stabbed to death in a north west London suburb.

Police and paramedics were called after the man was stabbed at an address in Greyhound Hill, Hendon.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, a street lined with 1930s detached houses and modern flats close to the M1 and Middlesex University.

A woman, 43, was arrested on suspicion of murder while a man, 21 and woman, 23, have also arrested over the incident.

The man was the 116th murder victim in the capital so far this year.

Scotland Yard said: “Three people have been arrested at a residential address in Hendon after a man in his forties was fatally injured.

“Police were called at 11.39pm on Friday to Greyhound Hill, Hendon , following reports of a male having been stabbed.

“Officers attended along with colleagues from the London Ambulance Service.

“A male, aged 47, was found with a stab injury. Despite the efforts of paramedics he was pronounced dead at the scene.

“A 43-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder. A 21-year-old man and woman aged 23 have also been arrested in connection with this incident.

“All have been taken to a north London police station for questioning.

“The deceased and those arrested were known to each other. A crime scene remains in place.

“There are no other reported injuries and enquiries continue.”
