A “dangerous” suspect wanted in connection with a sex attack in central London has been named.
Police warned people not to approach 41-year-old Michael Gowie.
Detectives want to question Gowie in connection with a sex attack on a woman in her 30s in Holborn, central London, in the week before Christmas.
They also want to speak to him about a burglary in the same area last October.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “Police in Camden are appealing for help from the public to trace Michael Gowie.
“Detectives wish to speak with Gowie, 41, in connection with a sexual assault on a woman, aged in her 30s, on Friday December 14th, 2018, in Holborn.
“Officers also want to speak with Gowie about a burglary which took place on Thursday, October 4th, 2018, at an address in High Holborn, Bloomsbury.
For an immediate sighting, members of the public should not approach Gowie, who is considered dangerous. Instead, they should dial 999.”
He added: “Anyone who has previously seen Michael Gowie or has information about his whereabouts is asked to call North East Command Unit on 101.”
