Arrest over stabbing at London grime music awards

Detectives probing the stabbing of a rapper at a grime music awards show have now questioned a suspect.

Leon Riviere, 37, who performs under the name Young Spray, was knifed repeatedly in a backstage dressing room at the Apollo in Hammersmith, west London, during the GRM Daily Rated Awards earlier this month.

Police say a suspect, also 37, was held on suspicion of GBH at a south London police station.

The victim, who has now been discharged from hospital, posted a picture of himself in a hospital bed after the attack.

Top rappers, including Stormzy, made an appearance at the GRM Daily Rated Award, along with Krept and Konan, Chip and Big Narstie.
