London Mayor Sadiq Khan has vowed to seek the forfeiture of the £22,000 yearly payment.
It comes as the Met Police desperately try to salvage their reputation in the wake of the abhorrent crimes of David Carrick.
Pc David Carrick, 48, has pleaded guilty to a total of 49 offences, including 24 counts of rape between 2003 and 2020.
The 60-minute programme’s production team worked closely with Ms Everard’s parents, the BBC said.
"Urgent reform is needed to police vetting, recruitment, misconduct and complaints systems."
The UK’s biggest police force was placed in special measures in June 2022.
Met Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley set out a series of measures being taken to ‘remove the cancer from the body’ of the force.
Last month, he appeared at Court where it was claimed he had raped one woman he met on dating app Tinder, falsely imprisoned another in a cupboard under the stairs, and sexually assaulted three of the complainants by urinating on them.
He has been remanded in custody.
