Chris Patten has announced "with a heavy heart" that he will retire from his role at the end of the 2023-24 academic year.
“It is important to show the public that there is not one rule for them and another for us,” she said.
The Conservative MP’s book is said to cover the Hillsborough and Grenfell Tower disasters.
The architect of the hostile environment policy said modern slavery victims will be “collateral damage” under the proposals.
"They don’t want impartiality, they want to eradicate dissent and replace it with client journalism," James O'Brien said.
