A London Artist is Giving Travellers a Big ‘Welcome Home’ this Christmas

Over 2.5 million Brits will be touching down home for Christmas on Heathrow tarmac this Christmas. A lucky few will be getting a special Welcome Home from London artist, Ben Eine.

Ben, who is known for his eye-popping fonts, has created a range of colourful banners for family and friends to use at the terminal to greet loved ones returning from abroad for the Christmas festivities..

The 15th December will see Heathrow’s busiest day of the year with over 94,000 people travelling through its gates

“I’m always travelling and spend a lot of time in airports so I know what it feels like to get a personal welcome home.,” says Ben. “I wish I got more of them!”

The banners, which take on Ben Eine’s inimitable bright and bold style, are available to download in three colourful variations.

Over 1,000 people visit the airport each month just to give their loved ones an extra special welcome, including these two bloody adorable bears from Heathrow’s latest ad campaign.

Fiona Carleton, Head of Passenger Experience at Heathrow, said “We hope the banners help families and loved ones create their very own special moment together – I can’t wait to see the hugs and smiles from passengers when they see the messages awaiting them.”

All donations for the personalised banners from the terminals will go to Heathrow’s charity partner, Oxfam.
