Dom Pérignon Presents Multi-Sensory Experience ‘Transformation’

Taking place for a limited time only, Dom Pérignon will host a fifteen-minute experience in the Lanes of Mayfair this week.

Encapsulating the unique history and alchemy behind the creation of Dom Pérignon Champagne, the installation entitled ‘Transformation’ will take guests on a multi-sensory journey through the exploration of sight, sound and taste – kicking off with a tasting of Dom Pérignon vintage 2006. On entering, senses will immediately be heightened as participants indulge in the taste of ‘P1’ 2006 whilst being transported through the history of Dom Pérignon by Cellar Master Richard Geoffroy.

Only releasing vintage Champagnes, created using the best grapes, each vintage evolves in a succession of peaks known as Plénitudes, offering different expressions of the same vintage. The first Plénitude (P1) is reached after spending seven years in the cellar, and the second (P2) after 15 years. As a result, ‘Transformation’ sets to take participants on the transition from the first to the second Plénitude.

Speaking about ‘Transformation’, Cellar Master, Richard Geoffroy says: “The energetic lifespan that our wines go through play a pivotal role in transforming our vintages, it isn’t a static process, but an evolution and we hope to bring this to life with Transformation”.

What’s more, in collaboration with Dom Pérignon throughout the ‘Transformation’ installation, Fera at Claridge’s will be offering a Dom Pérignon gastronomy experience. Richard Geoffroy and Simon Rogan, Chef Patron of Fera at Claridge’s, will team up to produce exclusive Dom Pérignon P2 menus and tastings, hosted in a lavish Dom Pérignon Suite. ‘Transformation’ is a one-off experience, not to be missed.

‘Transformation’ will be open from 10am – 8:30pm from Thursday 20th – Sunday 23rd October. Entry is complimentary and all slots must be booked ahead of entry online at uk.domperignon.com/transformation, as well as the selection of Claridge’s experiences.
